Thoughts from the Sage of Quiet Storms

Nope - I haven't written in here for a long time....and no I don't have any profound reason why. I just had to take a break from it I guess. I do like writing though, so here I am again. Recently, I've been having a good number of epiphanies (sp?) regarding living, success and enjoying life. And I'm determined to stick with these quasi-philosophies. Nothing major - just appreciate the people in your life and let them know you appreciate them for who they are. Trust me, it makes a difference! Friends and family - yeah, you never know how long they are around, treat them well even when they are a pain in the arse. Good friends, once you have them, enjoy their company and get together often. Life goes by fast ( good grief I'm already 24??), nuff said.

Knowledge -

Not everything there is to know is found scribbled on paper. Live life. Experience things you wouldn't normally and figure out fun ways to learn. Hey, get some friends together, sip on some Starbucks and head downtown D.C. and check out some museums. Might learn a thing or 4 about African sculptures or who the heck Enola Gay is! Learn something about poetry, you never know, you might discover your inner Poe or...yeah, see? Learning is fundamental.

Relationships -

Relationships are fragile. Handle with care and put some time into them. These can be platonic but I'm pretty much talking about the romantic level. Once you are in one, the word "casual" just doesn't make sense to me. Make the effort and you will be amazed at the fulfillment. Or else you end up like Hassel the Hoff here...

Cereal -

Malt O Meal isn't that bad!! Mmmm for Golden Puffs!
